A Kingston University student was kicked out of a Kingston night club for climbing up a stripper pole on Saturday November 18.
Second year graphic design student, Elliot Spiers, was kicked out of The Hive after previously being warned by security for his disorderly behaviour.
Spiers, 21, said: “I was climbing up the strip pole and apparently security had to grab me by my leg and pull me down. I got kicked out then ended up at a house party with my other mates.
“Apparently I was trying to fight everyone and I threw my phone and was stamping on it. I remember waking up in the morning being like what happened last night and where’s my phone, turns out my friend had it.”
Spiers was kicked out of the newly took over club, on Kingston High Street, around midnight last weekend.
He struggled to remember details from the night due to being so intoxicated.
“It all started with Elliot drinking from a five litre jar of vodka cocktail. When we were leaving the house he downed a quarter of a vodka bottle,” said Jessie Coleman, 21, second year graphic design student.
“Then the next thing I knew, Elliot was sidewise on a pole, with a roaring crowd around him.
“Then I heard a bit of a commotion, turned around and he had two bouncers pulling at his ankles from about three metres off the floor.”
Another friend of Spier’s, Louis Cutts, 20, added: “Some people told him to get down or he’ll get kicked out, the next thing you know, he’s at the top.”
Spiers, a part-time Kingston club promoter, is known for getting “too drunk” on nights out.
Last summer Spiers was hospitalised after consuming £600 worth of vodka and tequila on a holiday to Madrid.
He suffered internal bleeding from vomiting too much and had to get his stomach pumped.
“I just do dumb shit when I’m drunk,” said Spiers.
“Like the day before I went on holiday to Dubai I was feeling lucky and lost 300 quid on roulette, that sucked.”
Spiers, from Brighton, will often go out in Kingston up to four nights a week.
But his student loan just covers his halls accommodation fee, so he funds his partying from summer savings.
The graphic design student is very behind with his course work due to missing a high number of classes this term.
“Because I get so drunk I have to spend like a day in bed recovering.”
“I’ve been to one tutorial this term, two art history talks and I’m behind. I’m pretty much fucked to be honest, so I’m having to do all of the work now.”
Spiers added that he has now started his projects and is “having a break from drinking.”
