Christmas season is approaching so why not get into the spirit whether you are a drinker, eater or just love the festivities. The River’s Chanel Buituròn has found some quirky events around London for every type of student.

For the foodies:

Beauty and The Feast – The Vaults, Leak Street, South London. Starts November 19th. From Wednesday to Sunday every week. 6pm – 2am. Tickets from £35.

An event that gives you the chance to feel like a part of Disney’s film Beauty and the Beast, but there’s a twist, the aim is to get pissed up and enjoy good food. The table provides 12 different dishes, from crispy slow roasted potatoes to rich venison sausages to sage and parsley onion stuffing served on a spike and you can eat as much as you want. This is the ultimate event for those who want to drink with unlimited alcohol access, enjoy good company and party until the early hours of the morning. The dress code: Regal French Fashion done with passion, old school ruffs with neon tuffs, velvet tails with killer nails.

For the party- animals:

Hot since 91: 90s Christmas Karaoke – The Grand club, Clapham, London. December 23rd. 9pm – 3am. Tickets from £5.

If you’re not up for the typical stroll around Winter Wonderland then this event is for you: karaoke, DJ’s, dance competitions, free candy, face painting, giveaways, retro gaming, photo booths, inflatables, confetti and the most important thing fried chicken. Grab yourself a load of freebies and a have a huge night out just before Christmas.

For the quirky people:

ChristMESS – The Imaginarium Hunter Penrose, Southwark Street, London. Starts Friday December 1st. 6.30 – 11.30. Tickets from £45

Christmas has been cancelled but ChristMESS has just started. An underground party just near London Bridge, serving up soul food with live blues and jazz music, secret rooms, theatre and cabaret. An event made for giving, sharing and tables that are made to dance on. Swap your ps and qs for gins and tonics you won’t get away with anywhere else.

For the un-traditional people:

Mario karts Vs the nightmare before Christmas go-kart race – Eade Road, North London. Starts Saturday 2nd December. Every Saturday and Sunday. Tickets from £5.

If you like something different to the typical Christmas, then this is for you. You’ll get a full-sized race track, pedal go-karts, costumes and a race to the chequered flag. Human-sized Mario kart has gone the The Nightmare before Christmas, Halloween town. The venue also has a bar, Christmas isn’t fun without a good adrenaline rush.

For the entertainment lovers:

The Cockney’tivity – A very cockney Christmas story – Homerton High street – The North Star pub. From December 1st. 7pm – 12am. Tickets from £55.

This isn’t your average night out but an experience like no other featuring shorts acts of hilarious festive drama around three courses of food based in an authentic east end boozer. IT IS like you’re a part of EastEnders. Walk through The North Star, take a seat at the Christmas dinner table and watch the drama unfold around you.

For the groups: 

Winterland – Fulham, Wandsworth Bridge Road, London. From Friday November 17th. 18:00pm – 22:30pm. Tickets from £5.

This event is best for those that want to do something as a group, so if you’re sitting around at halls wondering what to do leading up to Christmas then this is for you. Get away from the cold, dark miserable winter nights and step into a world of warmth and festive merriness. The hive of activities is here for Christmas, there is: mini-golf, Prosecco and beer ping pong, curling, winter lodges, igloos, fondues and good food.
