Three men jailed for dealing A class drugs

By Elizabeth Stromme Nov 16, 2014

Kingston Crown Court sentenced three men responsible for major heroin and crack cocaine distribution in Hounslow to a total of 16 years in jail last week.

The three men pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and received their sentencing on November 6.

The court heard that officers from the Trident Gang Crime Command and Hounslow Crime Squad acted on intelligence when they carried out two drug warrants on May 1, on two properties in Hounslow.

Detective Constable Sarah Smart, of the Trident Gang Crime Command, who oversaw the investigation, said: “These three men were responsible for a large majority of Class A drug supply in Hounslow and Richmond.”

During the operation police seized heroin and cocaine with a street value of approximately £90,000.

28-year-old Gursev Matharoo, from Heath Road, Hounslow received eight years imprisonment and Hardeep Sagoo, 34, of Sutton Way, Hounslow received five years imprisonment.

39-year-old Richard Finnelly, of Slade House, Edgar Road, Hounslow was sentenced to three years imprisonment.

DC Smart also stated this sentencing should serve as a warning to other drug dealers in the area.

She said: “Thanks to the efforts of my team and colleagues from Hounslow we have put these three drug dealers behind bars for a significant period of time. This is a message to other dealers; we will catch you and seize the assets you derived from your criminal activity.

“Drug dealers cause significant harm to our communities and dependent users have been linked to committing other crimes to fund their drug habit.”
