Beatlemania hit London’s West End at the Prince of Wales Theatre marking the 50th anniversary of the band’s genesis.
Let It Be is a non-stop exciting show, taking theatre-goers on a nostalgic journey from the group’s early songs in Liverpool’s Cavern Club to their heights of worldwide success.
The resemblance of the cover-band to the original Fab Four is uncanny; they even adopted the Scouse accent to get the impersonations dead on.
The coverband worked their magic by getting the audience singing and dancing along to the big tracks including Twist and Shout, Can’t buy me love, She loves me and, of course, Let it be.
Whilst reliving the dazzling rise of The Beatles’ evolving music, the performance reflected on the changing style of the band, from suited-up mods to colourful hippies.
Let It Be is a great way to educate the young on Beatlemania, but may best be prescribed to the Fab Four’s die-hard fans who would better appreciate this concert.
