More beef products being removed

Two supermarket chains have had to remove more beef products after their supplier raised another concern about horse meat.

Tesco and Aldi have had to remove both spaghetti bolognese and lasagna from their Everyday Value and Today’s Special ranges. This was after their French supplier, Comigel, flagged up the problem.

Previous similar controversy was raised in mid-January with UK supermarkets disposing of  some frozen burgers as a precaution. The big supermarket chain, Asda had to withdraw four frozen burger products that contained 80 per cent horse meat which was supplied by Northern Ireland company Freeza Meats.

England v Brazil

The match began with the celebration of Ronaldino and Steven Gerrard’s 100th cap, which then followed by a minute silence for the Rio nightclub tragedy, anniversary of the Munich air crash and 20th anniversary of Bobby Moore’s death.

England took the lead through Wayne Rooney, his 27th goal for his country.

Brazil fought back with a goal by Fred but a superb goal from Frank Lampard meant England came out victorious.
