GREEN GRADS will host a Salon in Shoreditch where two Kingston graduates will share their insight into sustainable ceramics on December 1.

GREEN GRADS is a new platform for graduates who want to help heal the planet founded by Barbara Chandler who will host the GREEN GRADS Salon with her co-director Micheal Czerwinski.

There will be special guests at the Salon, including eco-activist Ella Doran and celebrated design journalist Dominic Luytens.

Furniture & Product Design student Ellie Perry said: “GREEN GRADS has been an eye-opener for me, meeting so many like-minded graduates and getting hope for the future.”

Esme MacGregor, a Product & Furniture Design student, has developed clay bodies that embody waste and will bring some of her samples.

MacGregor has used the GREEN GRADS Awards money to fund a course on glazes. She said: “GREEN GRADS has brought me together with people from all kinds of disciplines and backgrounds, who share a drive to make change.

“To me it has been about the community, and the inspiration that comes from learning about other people and their passions.”

GREEN GRADS has had two big successful shows in the Samsung Experience Space in King’s Cross. Jay Blades MBE has presented Awards at several shows.

The GREEN GRADS Salon is at 3 Westland Place, off Old Street, N1, from 6-9pm on December 1. Admission is free. Book a place via greengradskx@gmail.com or simply DM @greengrads22.
