Wear it Pink 2014 is closing in on us on the 24th October, are you prepared?  Wear it Pink is a charity event ‘that won’t leave you on the run from the charity police,’ as organisers describe. The day aims to increase breast cancer awareness and raise funds for breast cancer research, which can develop new treatments. For every pink item you wear on the day, £2 should be donated for the cause, making it a fun and fashionable way to fundraise. If this sounds like an event you want to participate in but you are not sure what to wear, below are my top picks, both for guys and girls, for how to wear pink to uni.

For the guys

Pink tie

If pink is not your colour and you are a bit hesitant about looking like a marshmallow, you can incorporate it through accessorising, this will give a subtle yet supportive addition to your outfit.  An easy way to show the pink and still look like yourself is just adding a pink tie like this one from Asos. They are affordable and easy to take on or off.

Pink jeans

For a more daring and bold look, why not opt for these pink jeans from River Island. You do not have to go for a hot pink barbie look but instead maybe a salmon pink which will look good paired with a navy or white top and dark shoes for a casual look.

Pink shirt

If, by any chance, you have to dress smart on the 24th, a pink shirt will do the trick. Instead of going for a pale pink that looks almost white, try this shirt and tie set from Asda, it is affordable and does the job for you.

Pink Boots

Wear it Pink is only one day and you do not want to buy something you will never wear again throughout the year, especially as a uni student, so these edgy boots from Asos will be perfect for the 24th and throughout the year. They are so versatile in colour and will match pretty much anything, they will keep you feet warm when it gets too cold.
