Every year, on the third Thursday of November, people commemorate World Philosophy Day to celebrate the enduring value of philosophy for the development of human thought.

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) are organising a big event where they will “contribute to the overarching question of ‘Social Transformations and Intercultural Dialogue’ with a round table discussion to launch the ‘Philosophy Manual, A South-South Perspective’.”

Here at KU we decided to mark the day by asking students some philosophical questions such as “what is nothing?”, and it is safe to say our questions sparked some interesting conversations.
