Former Kingston business studies student Nico Jackson is now dating Pippa Middleton.

Mr Jackson, 35 graduated from Kingston in 2000, is now a stockbroker for Deutsche Bank and has struck lucky dating the Duchess of Cambridge’s most famous relative.

A former Kingston lecturer said: “He was a really big character and well liked. Even though it’s been 13 years since I last taught him I do remember. I think they make a great couple.”

One for the ladies

Mr Jackson went to Harvey Grammar school in Folkestone and was friends with Kris Temple who says the tall, blue-eyed stockbroker was always successful with the opposite sex.  “He was a very laid back character, a really lovely bloke and he was certainly popular with the ladies,” said Mr Temple.

Mr Jackson is a big fan of skiing. His parents own a ski shop in Folkestone called Landau and he used to drive a silver Nissan Micra which, according to Temple, he got “lots of stick for”.

As well as having a knack for business and finance, Mr Jackson was also a personality on the sports field. Temple said: “He was a figure of fun in the sporting ranks, going by the predictable nickname ‘Jacko’.”

He is also known for being late and might have to improve on his time management skills, Mr Temple said: “He was quite often late; despite the fact he lived about 400 yards from the school.” One thing is for sure, the Queen won’t be impressed if he’s late for afternoon tea.

Romance blossomed

He was spotted with Miss Middleton for the first time at the opening of a nightclub in London’s Berkeley Square last September. It is understood that Mr Jackson’s job at Deutsche Bank meant that he could mix in elite social circles.

Last week the couple were pictured walking hand-in-hand along a beach in the Caribbean while on holiday with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the rest of the Middleton family.

Mr Temple said that ‘Jacko’ was an intelligent guy and is not surprised that he is progressing well with his career.

The royals’ best-known in-law clearly has a taste for wealth, having previously dated investment banker, 37-year-old James Matthews, and former England cricketer Alex Loudon, 32,  though her heart appears to have now been swayed by Mr Jackson.

Mr Jackson will now go down in history as an inspiration for all Kingston male students – and not necessarily for being a successful stockbroker.
