Clayhill management has apologised to its student-residents after some were left without hot water for as long as 48 hours.
Frustrated first years had to share showers and endure leaks and damaged kitchen appliances, despite paying £115.50 a week.
Facilities manager Laura Pereira said that residents affected should contact reception if any more problems occur.
Josh Smith, a KU student, said: “I complained about my faulty shower, but as soon as it was fixed then I noticed the sink was coming away from the wall.
“As soon as one thing gets sorted another thing goes wrong.”
