Example coming to Kingston this Friday

By River Reporter Nov 13, 2012

Crowds of fans are expected to queue for the Changed the Way You Kiss Me singer at the record store in Eden Street before he appears at 5pm. The signing is ahead of the release of his fourth album, The Evolution of Man.

Jon Tolley, manager of Banquet Records, said: “Coming from south west London we’re actually his local record store and as such he’s been here for instores, signings and he’s played for us at multiple New Slangs and D.A.N.C.E.

“The signing gets people a chance to meet and greet a hero of theirs, and it also introduces a whole range of people to not only bricks and mortar record shops, but also some to a physical format of music for the first time!”

Elliot John Gleave, better known for his stage name Example, will be the latest star to visit the store. With the massive impact of fans at the Rizzle Kicks signing in Banquet Records last year, fans are expected to make just as much of a storm.

The star’s success of conquering the charts with his last album Playing in the Shadows beat the legendary Beatles’ album to the top spot. The album’s hit single Changed the Way You Kissed Me nearly nabbed the British single of the year award at the Brits too. Thergvfbhfg

“We’re fans of Example and have been since day one.  He’s a genuine dude who’s worth of success”, said Jon Tolley.

The release of his fourth album, The Evolution of Man comes out on the 19th of Novemer by Ministry of Sound.
