The River finds out what Kingston University students really think about Kingston’s main nightclub Oceana having its licence revoked earlier this month.

Kingston Council revoked the popular nightclub’s licence after the second stabbing inside the venue in the last six months.
This included the murder of 20-year-old clubber Jamie Sanderson, who was stabbed to death inside the club in October.
Councillors came to the decision to revoke Oceana’s licence after the high number of crimes related to the club, as well as complaints from local residents.
Oceana has since appealed the decision and will still remain open for business for up to three months while their appeal is being dealt with.
The River asked KU students how they felt about this decision. Would they feel safe when they go out?
