Kingston University confirmed 35 new coronavirus cases on Monday, taking the total number of cases to 139 this academic year.
This is the second-highest weekly number of cases registered so far, but five fewer than the previous week.
Despite the steady rise in cases, KU numbers remain in the middle ranks among universities affected by coronavirus.
According to data from University and College Union, Newcastle University (2,441 cases) has confirmed the most cases among UK universities so far, with the University of Bristol second with 2,226 cases.
Among London universities, University College London has confirmed the most cases so far with 655.
Last Thursday Kingston University confirmed that it will begin to reduce scheduled teaching on campus from December 3 to allow students to travel home for the staggered end of term that government guidance requested of universities.
“This does not impact on students from education, midwifery, social work, nursing and radiography, where online and on-campus teaching will continue as planned to the end of term,” University Registrar, Keith Brennan, said in an email last week.
