Want to learn a new skill? Kingston University is offering free weekly hip-hop dance classes for students, university staff and local community members at Town House.
The hip-hop dance classes will be led by Saffron Shomaly, an experienced hip-hop and contemporary dancer, who has had 20 years of dance experience.
Third year dance student Peggy Serwaa is encouraging people to join the dance classes: “Dance allows me to express myself and I think that it is great that the university is opening its doors to the public. It is always nice to let loose and have some fun.”
The classes are set to inspire and motivate participants to enjoy themselves and learn a new skill whilst having fun.
In these weekly classes participants will learn the various components of street dance, such as lyrical, popping, choreography, freestyle training and more.
Join the weekly dance classes located in Town House at Penrhyn Road campus (studio 3, first floor) at 17:00- 18:00 every Wednesday.
