Frankenweenie stars a boy/scientests that brings his childhood dog back from the dead, to create a frankenstein dog.

Tim Burton’s new gothic fairy tale, Frankenweenie, is a lovely and entertaining story that reflects on friendship and sets loose a childish sense of adventure.

The prolific filmmaker returns to the classic world where he thrilled audiences with other stop-motion beauties such as Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride

The story, arguably the weakest point of the movie, follows the efforts of the young science genius Victor Frankenstein to bring his deceased dog back to life.

The situation gets out of control when his creepy classmates discover his experiments and start doing the same with their pets.

A beautiful looking homage to Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, this black and white movie is a combination of Burton’s art and amazing visual creativity.

Though it might not reach the level of the classics mentioned above, the story of friendship between Victor and his dog Sparky touches the child we all have deep inside.
