From right: John Keen-Tomlinson, Alastair Lee and Hal Bedford-Payne were pleased with the results from last weekend.

KU student Hal Bedford-Payne is set to race for Kingston Rowing Club in the National Championship taking place in Nottingham this weekend.

Joined by fellow KU student John Keen-Tomlinson and KU alumnus Alastair Lee, Bedford-Payne and his teammates will be racing against returning Olympic and world champions. The weather forecast is difficult with a strong wind.

“We’ve had a good build up and are feeling confident we can challenge for the top positions in our U23 category,” said Bedford-Payne.

Sunday the same team will be joined by KU student James Marsden and KU alumni Ben Handy and Sam Richards to compete in the open 8s.
