Two men charged in wake of Surbiton homophobic attack

Authorities have charged two men after a homophobic attack outside the KFC restaurant on Brighton Road, Surbiton, early Saturday morning on November 1, last year.

Alan Banks, 26, from Kingston, has been charged with assault by beating, exposure and actual bodily harm and Samuel Light, 26, of Elmbridge, Surrey, has been charged with actual bodily harm.

Both the men will appear on bail at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on March 9.
