Seven KU students were stuck in a lift at Penrhyn Road campus for over 45 minutes.
The first-year pharmaceutical science students were on their way down from a lecture on the third floor in the Main Building when the lift got stuck.
One of the students, Victory Onotota, said: “We started banging on the lift doors when we noticed we got stuck, but it took another 45 minutes before we finally got out.”
A team of electricians was working to get the students out, but it took a long time, and the lift did not work directly.
“It was really annoying to be stuck there for that long,” Onotota said. “I was very lucky I had an hour off between my lectures, otherwise I would not have made it to my next one.”
